I originally left a two star rating because the people in general were friendly, but I since learned that the tests the doctor had me go through were a waste of my time and money. I went there for an ESG revision. I told him I tried the ESG over the regular surgery and medication and said why, I had the tests done he said he needed to give him the information he needed to see if he could do a revision. They were a waste of time and then he said the only way he would know is if he put a scope down my throat. I said no because he already said, there is no room to do a revision because it had stitches all the way across already. None of this made sense, so I researched this and spoke to Hopkins and they said a revision can be done and it was uncommon. I received a call from one woman there telling me they were wrong and why don't I go back to the doctor who did the ESG I had. I learned the hard way with that office and now this office. They both told me this was not covered by insurance. At this point, I can say that is not 100% true. I also now know that if the doctor did this through insurance, they would receive about 1/4 the amount they are charging people for an ESG. Doctor Amin may be a good surgeon but he may need more training on the revision for the ESG. But to give me tests that did not tell him what he said he needed to know first but did not tell him that he needed but kept wanted to try more tests, of course at my expense but in the end say it looked ok in the Xray or what test I did have, it was a total waste. He offered to do the regular sleeve but at my out of pocket expense, but I already answered that when we met and he also offered the medication which I already told him no to as well. In the end, he got paid each time we spoke and after a few months, I was in the same place I was when I went in. I may go to Hopkins in time or after I receive a refund from the other doctor and or insurance company which should be soon. I am just fed up with Doctors now.
